Cognitive Radio workshop highlights progress and challenges
The ECC held a workshop jointly with the COST-TERRA research project on 2nd and 3rd May, in Mainz. More than 130 delegates heard about a wide range of industrial trials and initiatives, research work and regulatory progress towards enabling cognitive radio technology in Europe and elsewhere. You can see the presentation slides, including from the concluding session, on the event's own webpage. The event will provide very useful information for the ECC’s planning of its next phases of work on these technologies, which can significantly advance the efficiency of spectrum use.

Welcome to the new ECC website
This site is part of the new CEPT website (www.cept.org) , and it covers the activities of the CEPT's Electronic Communications Committee, including access to its deliverables, information about how it works, and about its ongoing activities. The site acts as a portal to information about meetings which are the basis of the ECC's work. Our policy is to be open, and all but a few of our meeting documents are publicly available on this site. The portal is also the first place to go if you are considering particpating in the ECC's work. To get the best experience, we recommend that you create a profile on this site. This allows you to filter information and interact more easily with the website's functions. If you want to receive notifications about specific groups, you can , once you have a profile, select a group 'to watch'. If you just want a personalised shortcut to a group you view regularly, you can designate it as a 'favorite'. If you need acces to the minority of ECC documents which are publicly available, you should apply for membership of the groups of which you are already a member, or in which you are interested in becoming a member. Meeting registration does not require the website to register you as a member, although you do need to create a profile, and a Chairman reserves the right to refuse your attendance at the meeting.
You can access meeting documents for before July 2011 from the 'related links' panel on the right of this page.
