SE24 has made progress on the following items:

WI SE24_52: Compatibility studies on RLANs in the band 5725 - 5925 MHz

SE 24 finalized the first draft ECC report on the compatibility of Radio Local Area Networks (RLANs) with other services in the band 5725-5925 MHz (Work Item 52). SE 24 continues its work on a second draft ECC report containing unresolved issues from the first report, as well as further consideration on mitigation techniques for EESS and radiolocation.

WI SE24_54: SRDs with duty cycle up to 2.5% in the band 870-875.6 MHz

SE 24 also finalized the draft report on SRDs with duty cycle up to 2.5% in the band 870-875.6 MHz (WI 54), which has been sent to WG SE for provisional approval.

WI SE24_42: Improvements for SRDs in the 862-870 MHz

The meeting received several contributions which couldn’t be considered in the physical meeting. Therefore, they will be considered during web meetings.

The rapporteur, Mr Brian Copsey, indicated that results of tests between cordless audio/ hearing aids and smart metering will be made available soon. He also offered his facilities for further tests. The WB SRD community is invited to contact Mr Brian Copsey.

This work item had to be finalized at the 84th meeting of SE 24, but it was not possible. Therefore, the deadline for this work item needs accordingly to be extended at the next WGSE (deadline should be May 2016).

WI SE24_44: New bands for Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) :

There was no input at this meeting.

WI SE24_49: TTT/DSRC in the 5805-5815 MHz band

The work item was discussed during one drafting session. The ECC asked ETSI through a liaison statement to prepare a SRDoc for eTachograph and weight and dimension applications (See Info 5). Nevertheless, the meeting decided not wait for the SRDoc and to finalize the ECC Report on WI49 only dealing with road tolling (including mobile enforcement equipment), following a proposal made by Kapsch.

The work of the Drafting Group will go on via correspondence.

WI SE24_51: Fixed infrastructure radars in the band 76-77 GHz

The work item was discussed during one drafting session. The target was to finalize the studies at this SE24 meeting, but this was not possible. The deadline for this work item needs accordingly to be extended at the next WGSE (deadline should be September 2016). The work of the Drafting Group will go on via correspondence.

WI SE24_55: Impact of UWB applications on board aircraft in the band 6-8.5 GHz on FS links used around airports

There was no detailed discussion at this meeting. The meeting noted the minutes from the Gotomeeting that was carried out at 30 June, which include a LS send to SE19.
