Denmark: further information

PLB: The possession of any kind of equipment (including PLB’s) is allowed in Denmark. The use of PLB’s is not allowed in Denmark. It is not possible to obtain a licence for PLB-use.

 

According to information from the Danish Maritime Authority PLB equipment may be used on board Danish vessels as EPIRB’s with MMSI as identification (and included in the Ship Station Licence).

PLB is allowed in Greenland under legislation of their home rule.
