SE7 held its meeting on 18 – 20 August 2010 in ECO (Copenhagen) and dealt with the following issues:
Practical guidance on co-ordination between GSM-R and public networks (SE7_11).
WGSE created WI SE7_11 at their meeting in September 2009. At this meeting SE7 considered 12 input contributions on this issue. The meeting continued the work on GSM-R (GSM system for the railways) based on the outcome of the previous meeting (document SE7(10)065).
SE7 received a LS from ETSI TC-RT, document SE7(10)052 informing about forthcoming improvements on receiver parameters in ETSI standards for GSM-R, TS 100 910. The new version will be available later on this year. However, the new standard will not solve today's problems as the study will be based on present standards anyway.
Draft ECC Report on practical mechanism to improve the compatibility between GSM-R and public networks and guidance on practical coordination was rearranged as follows:
· Sections 6 and 7 were combined into a new section 6 "Guidelines and mitigation techniques to improve coexistence";
· It was decided to keep only vital information in the main body of draft ECC Report, all calculations, simulation results, system parameters is to be moved into the annexes. The outline of the draft Report was revised accordingly.
Draft ECC Report will be presented for the next WGSE meeting for information.
CB radio
CB radio issue was discussed based on the contribution from the Netherland SE7(10)059 proposing some additional compatibility study. It was the opinion within SE7 that no additional compatibility study is needed in relation to the CB radio.
SE7 prepared a Liaison Statement to FM PT38 (copy to ECC PT1) on the progress of GSM-R study noting that SE7 still needs some time to finalise the work. The current working document was attached to the Liaison Statement.
