Depending on the service, temporary license is issued in line with our ordinances (different licenses (PMR, amateur, microwave…). Application forms for these licenses are published (Link). For licenses that cannot be categorized, the purpose, technical specifications of a radio station or a radio system, geographical area and time period of use must be provided (no application form).

The ARCEP would assess the effective “experimental or demonstration” nature when considering such specific request by the industry. The Application form is same for both cases. Only difference is that frequency authorisation for experimental or demonstration purpose cannot be renewed and is time limited to maximum 90 days.

The Law provides for issuance of temporary permissions for radio frequency use in duration of up to 90 days for equipment testing purposes. (Law on Electronic Communication, Article 77, point 3)

For those specific cases described above the request should be sent by email, indicating the purpose of the test, frequency band to be used, test spot, test duration time, equipment specification and contact point.

Any information that may provide further details about the experiment, e.g. a project plan, time schedule etc. Date and place Signature of applicant.
